MJOG - Text Messaging appointment reminders

We have a brand new messaging service which will text you:

- An appointment confirmation when you book an appointment
- An appointment reminder the day before your appointment

You can also now cancel your appointment by replying to the reminder that you receive.

This should help free our appointments telephone lines up making it easier to get through to one of our staff.

Online Access - SystmOnline

You can now book/cancel appointments and order repeat medication on line.

To sign up you will need to bring photo ID to reception.

Flu Vaccinations 2017/18

We will soon be accepting bookings for your flu vaccination for 2017.
We usually receive the vaccinations towards the end of September, so sometime after that we can start our Flu Clinics.

Can you please phone the appointment line on 0115 9301105 to make an appointment. 

The patients that fall into the categories below are entitled to a flu vaccination:

Patients over 65, Diabetic Patients, COPD Patients  Asthma Patients, Heart Disease Patients, Kidney Disease Patients,Liver Disease Patients, Stroke Patients MS Patients, INR Patients, Pregnant Women, Immunosuppressed Patients and Carer/Cared for.


Our Cotmanhay Surgery has now relocated to:

Over 75 Health Check

All patients over 75 who do not already attend the surgery for an annual review are welcome to book a health check with the health care assistant. 

The health care assistant will check you blood pressure, weight, height, urine and enquire about any health needs.  Please book with the receptionist if you wish to have a health check.


Available to patients over 65

Our CQC inspection was on Tuesday 6th October 2015
